Shower installation in Leicester, spec-checked before we quote.
New shower? Bath-to-shower conversion? Walk-in for a parent’s bathroom? We plumb, fit, tile-prep and test — every install pressure-tested before we leave the house.
Five shower jobs, spec’d before we quote.
We don’t push a particular brand or shower type. We ask what your water system can handle, then recommend what’ll actually work in your house. The spec conversation comes before the price.
Electric shower install / replace
Heats cold water on demand — needs only a cold feed, runs off mains pressure. Most rental properties choose this. Fit, earth bonding, RCD-protected isolator switch.
Call now →Thermostatic mixer shower
Blends pre-heated hot and cold from your boiler — best feel, prevents scalding. Needs adequate water pressure; we check your combi or gravity-fed system on the call first.
Call now →Power shower (twin pump)
For older gravity-fed systems where mixers can’t deliver enough flow. Pump sized to your property — under-spec means lukewarm, over-spec wastes hot water.
Call now →Bath-to-shower conversion
Remove the bath, run new waste, fit tray + screen + mixer, re-tile the affected area. Two-day job typically. We agree the layout in writing before we touch a tile.
Get a quote →Walk-in / wet room
Full waterproof tanking, level-access tray, drain in correct fall, glass screen. For accessibility upgrades or premium bathroom builds. Three days, full job spec’d in advance.
Get a quote →From first call to hot tap — usually the same day.
No faff, no “we’ll ring you back on Monday.” You call, we quote, we turn up, we fix it. That’s the whole process.
Four things we promise every Leicester customer.
No contractors chasing commission, no “we’ll ring you back on Monday”, no mystery invoice three weeks later. Just proper trade work.
We’d rather earn your first review than fake ten.
You’ve seen the plumber websites — the suspiciously perfect five-stars, the same three stock photos. We didn’t bother. When a real Leicester customer rates a real job, the review lands here verbatim.
Until then, here’s what you can count on.
- Honest quote before any work starts — in writing if you want it.
- Local 0116 Leicester phone — not a nationwide call-routing number.
- Clear invoices — every line item explained, no vague “miscellaneous” add-ons.
- Every Trustpilot review we ever get, posted here verbatim — good or bad.

The questions Leicester homeowners and landlords ask most before installing a new shower — including the spec mistake we see most often.
What’s the difference between an electric, mixer, and power shower?
Electric heats cold water on demand — needs only a cold feed, runs off mains pressure. Thermostatic mixer blends pre-heated hot and cold from your boiler — best feel, but needs adequate water pressure. Power shower has its own pump — for older gravity-fed systems where mixers can’t deliver. We ask your water system on the phone before recommending.
Can you fit a shower I bought myself?
Yes — but tell us the brand and model on the call before you order. Some shower units (high-flow rain heads, twin-outlet mixers) need water pressure your house may not have. We’ll save you the return postage if your spec won’t work.
Will my combi boiler keep up with a new shower?
Most modern combis 24kW or larger run a single shower fine. Two showers at the same time, or an older combi under 30kW, often won’t keep temperature stable. We ask your boiler model on the call to flag the risk before you commit to a thermostatic mixer.
How long does a bath-to-shower conversion take?
Two days typically — day one we remove the bath, run the new pipes, fit the tray and waste, prep the wall. Day two we tile, fit the mixer and screen, seal and test. Wet rooms add a third day for tanking and floor prep.
Tenant question — can I install a shower in a rental property?
Only with written landlord consent — and the shower stays with the property when you move out. We can supply a spec sheet for your landlord to approve. If they’re paying, we invoice the landlord direct.
Why does my new shower drip from the head when off?
Almost always a worn cartridge in the mixer valve, or a non-return valve that’s failed. Quick fix — we swap the part, not the whole shower. Common warranty claim, usually covered if the unit’s under 2 years old.
Tell us what’s broken. We’ll tell you the price.
Or skip the form and just call. We pick up — even at 3am. Quotes are always free and never obligation-based.
